The problem

Ghana is facing a major environmental and social crisis

Currently one of the most polluted countries in the world, Ghana is experiencing record levels of plastic waste. Over the last 10 years, plastic production has increased by 70% - and only 2% of this is later recycled. A crippling lack of effective waste disposal systems has meant that a growing amount of plastic is ending up in the local environment, where it creates major social and humanitarian problems. Urgent action is required, from all of us.

Our Partners

We have teamed up with a number of local and international organisations to help us make lasting change in Accra

Sileu make environmentally-friendly, reusable menstrual cups. We are working to distribute menstrual cups among Ghana’s women; at the medical clinic, in schools and on outreach projects.

Providing valuable learning resources which have been specifically designed to inform, inspire and empower Ghana’s youth. We will be working hand-in-hand with Right for Education (R:Ed), a Ghanaian NGO that provides informative content to over 45 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

We’ve partnered up with Silicon Valley International School, a private institution with extensive educational and sports facilities, to work at building links with several poorer schools, giving them access to resources which they would not otherwise have.

Part of the UK Scouts Association, the Jaguar Explorers Group, based in Norfolk, are proud ambassadors and supporters of our humanitarian efforts.
