We’re committed to making sure that you feel confident and comfortable about every aspect of your trip. You can contact us 24/7 for support any time leading up to your trip and while you are on it.

What to expect

Once your application has been accepted, we’ll email you a welcome pack with all the necessary pre-departure steps to complete before you set off, such as obtaining visas, vaccination schedules and more. We will guide you through all the necessary documentation you need to submit to us and our team will check that you’ve completed all the steps before your departure. There’ll also be helpful guidance on suggested things to bring and other ways you can prepare, including fundraising (see our other ways to get involved section).

Our team is composed of people that have been out to volunteer in Ghana and those who live there permanently. Any question big or small? Let us know and we’ll be happy to answer it for you! You can also have a look through our Frequently Asked Questions for more information on topics like language, currency and means of contact when out in Ghana.

We’ll send you a pre-departure email closer to the time, double-checking all your arrangements and giving you some final advice for your trip, before finally greeting you at Kotoka Airport! Allow £20 for transfer to and from the accommodation - due to our advantageous location this is quick and simple. Return transfer will be organised while you are there and will correspond to your flight times.
