Astute is run by a highly experienced team. Between us, we offer a diverse range of knowledge, expertise, local awareness and understanding, that allows us to carry out our projects effectively and look after our volunteers to the highest standard.
Nanaadu (also known as Emanuel, or Eman, by volunteers) has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience whilst working for a larger non-profit organisation, Original Volunteers Ghana, for over 4 years. Here he played an integral role in volunteer coordination, welfare and satisfaction. He is a passionate and influential voice in many Ghanaian communities, striving to align the experience and interests of his cherished volunteers with the needs of his fellow citizens. He has an intimate awareness of the communities in which Astute is operating, enabling us to support them in the most valuable and efficient ways possible.
He started with a vision of setting up his own ethically-run non-profit organisation that could carry out meaningful work and give volunteers a great experience at the same time. He is especially passionate about using Astute’s community programmes to address the level of youth unemployment in Ghana, putting empowerment and local solutions at the centre of our projects.
